Forum Guidelines
2. Site questions / comments - Please check our Site FAQ first, you may have a question which has already been answered. If not, send us feedback. To reach the Forum Administrator, use the link at the bottom of the forum page.
3. SPAM - Anyone posting the same (or similar) message more than twice in any of the forums. No single user may start more than three new threads in any fifteen minute period, this helps to limit SPAM and wasteful cross-posting.
4. Flame / Attacks - We do not tolerate abusive, malicious, personal attacks or self-promoting messages. See first rule.
5. Trolls - Anyone deliberately antagonizing other forum users by posting 'flame bait' type messages are not welcome. See first rule.
6. Nudity or questionable content- Please do not embed such images in your messages. If you wish to share such images, please post a link. We will not allow nude / semi-nude pictures of children or links to such galleries.
7. Voyeuristic pictures - We do not allow posting of voyeur pictures.
8. Harassment - If we receive complaints about users harassing other users either by forum message, email or by other methods you will be banned immediately. If serious enough we will also contact your ISP and report the matter.
9. Software piracy - We do not allow the posting of serial numbers, cracks, warez links or anything related to the piracy of software.
10. Legal ownership - Each message posted is owned by and the opinion of the original poster. Neither Northwest Photographers (nwphotographers.net) or Puget Sound Area Photographers (pugetsoundareaphotographers.org) nor its owner(s) or webmaster are legally responsible for items posted by members on these forums other than those of his/her own.
11. Embedded/Attached image size - Please limit your embedded/attached images to no more than 1024 pixels in width and no taller than 1024 pixels. For panos and irregular posts, please limit them to no more than 1600 pixels wide. In the event that you wish to post photos larger than the above described limitations, please post a link rather than embedding it into your post.
12. General Posting/Critiqueing Etiquette - Please be respectful and cautious in your posts. Do not make statements that are racially, sexually or derogatory in nature. Ask for critiques by including "Critique" in your subject. While critiqueing others posts, please be honest and respectful to the posters feelings. When being critiqued, understand that a crituque is someone's opinion and that it may not reflect your opinion. If offended, politely inform the member that you were offended and work towards a resolution between yourselves.
13. Retouching / Reposting - DO NOT retouch and/or repost images that others have posted, without their specific permission. Also, do not post photos from other sites or copyrighted photos, other than your own.
14. Membership - Membership is free and open to all the public. As we are a regional photography organization, access to certain forums will be limited based upon the members location. Donations to support NWP are gladly accepted. As with all things, this site is not free to operate. You can donate by clicking the "Support" link above for more information.
15. Administration and Moderation - The administration and moderation of the forums will be carried out in such a way as to provide for a safe, friendly and informative experience on NWP. Administrators and moderators have the right to remove, relocate or edit posts as necessary to promote a positive experience, maintain organization and keep posts within the limits of the guidelines of NWP.
16. Right to deny/restrict participation - The administration has the right to deny/restrict participation of anyone by all means available to the administration.
17. Agreement to these terms and guidelines - By registering as member on the NWP Forums, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the forum as set forth here and elsewhere on the site. If at any time you do not agree with the guidelines/terms and would like to have your membership removed, please contact the Forums Administrator.
